Tanya's ring

Tanya is such a great client- her brother finds her interesting gems and then she just hands them to me and let's me create. It doesn't get much better than that! This is a very large pink topaz. I just kept thinking princess ring because of the color. I added four 'dots' of silver to either side of the stone to simulate the look of other gems set around the stone, kind of like in Kate's earrings. I think the effect is for a more modern princess which I'm sure Tanya would approve!

These ones are inspired by the royal wedding jewels. I was in Calgary at a show the day of the big wedding and was asked by Andrew if I could make a similar pair for his wife's birthday in June. I used the shape and bling as the inspiration jump off point and added June's birthstone of pearl to personalize them more. I think they are perfect for a grand birthday!
